Achieve complete compliance with Zoo Hardware’s Fire Door Packs

Zoo Hardware’s Fire Door Packs have been designed to support construction professionals in achieving complete compliance with fire door specifications by supplying all of the necessary hardware in a single pack.

As part of this year’s Fire Door Safety Week, which runs from Monday 25th – Friday 29th September, Zoo Hardware is raising awareness of its comprehensive range of Commercial and Architectural Fire Door Packs, which are suitable for 30 and 60 minute fire door options and contain all of the required hardware for a CERTIFIRE-accredited fire door.

The packs include hinges, door closers, locks, fire door signage and intumescent for hardware fire protection.

CE marked to BS EN 12209:2016, the packs have undergone third-party testing as a complete set and are supplied with independent certification, enabling construction professionals to specify all required architectural hardware from a single manufacturer; whilst also providing evidence that the hardware has been rigorously tested and certified in line with latest legislative requirements.

Jason Tonks Reg AI, Technical Product Manager at Zoo Hardware, said: “Architectural ironmongery is an essential component of a fire door. It is therefore vital that every piece of ironmongery is proven to be compliant and compatible with each fire door assembly.

“That’s why we are taking the opportunity to support this year’s Fire Door Safety Week by educating industry professionals on our latest range of Fire Door Packs. They have been expertly engineered to provide our customers with the convenience of purchasing all necessary fire door hardware in a single easy-to-use pack at a competitive price, whilst providing them with the confidence the hardware meets the latest legal requirements.

“We are proud to be one of few manufacturers in the industry who are currently offering this suite of certified products and the launch forms part of our continued commitment to supporting customers in achieving the highest standards of performance and compliance.”

The packs include the ZHSS243S3 Grade 13 Ball Bearing Hinge and ZSS09SS Fire Door Keep Shut Signage, as well as a range of handles, overhead door closers, finger plates, cylinders, sashlocks or deadlocks from across the Zoo Hardware range.

They also include the relevant signage and intumescent fire protection packs for morticed hardware, depending on the application to comply with building regulations. Specialised kits can also be created to meet unique specifications.

Zoo Hardware is also able to offer its customers a range of multi-finish options on these essential items of ironmongery and signage, providing a fully suited offering in on trend finishes including black, brass and bronze.
